What a weekend! I had an extremely busy week last week and I'm still going through last week's to-do list in my head but I decided to take Sunday off and go up to the dunes to practice Sand Boarding. The last time I did that was almost 2 years ago in Jeri and I almost broke my "a" double "s". This time I went closer to home to "Praia as Dunas" where the dunes are not as steep but they are enless. I did very good... Actually (and let me just brag a little) I nailed it! - Clearly practicing yoga on a regular basis has been helping my balance and resistance. I'm so happy I can almost deal with my overly tanned skin.

I'm writing this post on Sunday night so at the time this post is published Miss E and I will be taking another annoying trip to the Immigration bureau were we starve for hours. I'll probably be thinking about food, chocolate cake, pistachio gelato and listening to Justin Bieber on E's iPod.

Considering everything, I'm still incredibly grateful this week. I'm grateful for work, friends that keep my life simple and beautiful, family and all these things to come next month that have me equal parts nervous and excited.

Now, please! Tell me about your weekend. All details are welcomed.

  5. You are such a bad ass!! I've never tried sand boarding but if there were more sand dunes out here, I totally would! Sounds like a fantastic weekend! My weekend was more relaxing which consisted of working out, hanging out with my boyfriend, watching lots of fun movies, and eating good meals! My boyfriend's 4 year old daughter LOVES justin bieber lol!! Have a good week Ana!

  6. Sand boarding–what fun! It's the perfect way to de-stress before what promises to be a frustrating day. My weekend was quiet and frankly, pretty decadent, but I'm so happy to get John back at home today!

  9. Sand boarding!!! I'd be so afraid of eating all the grains. I do that enough with the snow, and I don't think sand would taste all that good. Oh good, I'm not the only one who secretly enjoys Beiber Fever. It's not like I'm psycho about him, but I definitely don't skip his songs when the pop up on Pandora or in the car. We had a laid back weekend and met some new, hilarious friends. Not bad. :)
