Väkst

Väkst is a new restaurant by Cofoco - family of Höst also based in Copenhagen. Väkst's gastronomic centre of gravity is Nordic, and the vegetables of the season take priority. The wines are modern, light and European - and the list offers several natural wines. The heart of the restaurant is a large greenhouse, built through the two floors of the space, thereby transporting the guest into the sensation of a lush garden - right inside the city. On the top floor of the restaurant, plants, growths, and leaves thrive in the light from the large windows facing the street of Sankt Peders Stræde. A true Summer paradise.

This charming restaurant located in Madrid, Spain displays an urban feel and serves rustic food all organic and local. The restaurant is the third proyect of the Zamora-Gorbeña family and a true gem.

Elle named La Vaqueria Montañesa "A Restaurant Worth Traveling To See". The beautiful atmosphere and 50's minimal pieces create the perfect ambiance. The series of portraits by Pablo Zamora, AIM lamps and Jacques Adnet mirror are the perfect addition to this wonderful interior. Let's all pack up and head to Madrid.

Yet, once in a while, I like to go to a resort, get a massage and experience the surroundings by simply relaxing. These Suits look more than peaceful, just what someone who's about to end the worst 2015 (me) needs.

Ah, Mondays! Always making me feel so inspired. Are you still with me? Who is out there reading this blog? If you're there, would you agree that amazing Studios like Studio Gram are gems that we should have more of in this world. People like these, doing great work make me feel incredibly motivated and hungry to see more creatives rise to the top by thinking outside the box. Osteria Oggi is just of of the excellent projects make by this group of Aussies and it blew my mind. The simplicity but organic feel of this restaurant is captivating.

Joanna Laajisto, the founder of Joanna Laajisto Creative Studio, is a Helsinki based interior architect and designer who has studied and made her career in the West Coast of United States. Prior to moving back to her native country Finland, she worked in Los Angeles at an international architect firm designing large scale commercial projects. Her project for I N T R O a Restaurant and Night Club based in Kuopio, Finland is one of my favorite projects, period — because all of Joanna's work is brilliant.

The Standard

The Standard pays tribute to the history of an Art Deco building which Danish architect and Royal Building Inspector Kristoffer Nyrop Varming designed in 1937 in the midst of the golden age of timeless “standards” composed by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and the likes. The building is divided into 4 floors. 01.Almanak, 02. Verandah, 03. Studio and 04. The Jazzclub - A variety of bars and restaurants where you can experience good food and good music. Grab your bags!

This wonderful, magical place is an Architectural gem, filled with objects from the one and only Hay and ran by some of the world's most talented Chefs. Saboc is not only a Restaurant, is an experience.

Nine Hours Hotel

9h Hours is a new capsule hotel that offers luxury in a minimum living space.  Located in Kyoto, Japan. The 9 hour capsule hotel and all amenities were designed by Fumie Shibata of Design Studio S. The branding is just as stunning.

Travel: Treehotel

It's Monday and I'm so happy to be back! Last week was the most tiring week of my life and what does one do to encourage oneself: Browse for great traveling spots, by that I mean - places where one is not and where one cannot go any time soon.

The Treehotel is located in Harads, near the Lule river, about 100 kilometers from Luleå airport. The village has a population of about 600 and features a restaurant, shop and guest house. When you arrive at Treehotel, you check in at Britta’s Pensionat. Then it’s just a short stroll through the beautiful nature to your treeroom.
